The Collar Changes Everything
Start Near the Face
We often judge a tee by the graphic across its middle. The collar works closer to us. It frames the neck, meets the jaw, and decides how much of an underneath layer appears.
A narrower opening can make a relaxed shirt feel contained. A wider opening leaves a different amount of space. Neither choice is a universal answer. We notice how each one feels when we move, sit, and turn our head.
Compare One Detail at a Time
We lay two familiar shirts flat and look at three things: the width of the opening, the depth of the ribbed band, and the way that band settles after wear. Then we try them with the same trousers.
Keeping the rest of the outfit steady makes the difference easier to see. The understated setting of Minimal Clean is a useful place to think about details that do not rely on a large image.
Leave Room for the Layer
An overshirt changes the frame again. We look at whether the tee collar sits comfortably inside it, whether the edges compete, and whether we keep adjusting the opening throughout the day.
When browsing Today's Drop, we can bring that observation with us. The image may begin our interest, but the neckline helps decide how naturally the shirt will join the clothes we already wear.
